Our 100% birch lumpwood charcoal is made in small batches from locally sourced timber.

Birch produces a clean, lively heat and is an excellent all-round cooking charcoal. It comes up to temperature quickly and burns hot and clean, making it particularly good for grilling steaks, burgers and other food where a strong cooking heat is wanted.

The smoke character is light and clean with a gentle sweetness, allowing the flavour of the food to remain the main focus.
